Dear Professor James Cook,
Welcome to China. I am writing to share with you my recommendations of must-visit tourist attractions in Changsha. Although the city does not boast the same international recognitio as Beijing or Shanghai, what it lacks in name recognition, it makes up for with its rich history and culture.
When we talk about Changsha, we are almost obliged to mention stinky tofu, a local delicacy. Food and culture are almost always intertwined and, as such, I highly recommend
the Fire Palace to you. It serves both as a museum of local delicacies and a restaurant. After a satiating meal, you may go hiking on the Yuelu Mountain, where a prestigious academy dating back more than a millennium is also located.
The places I mentioned above offer a glimpse into local culture and an entertaining experience. I hope that you will thoroughly enjoy your stay in the city.
