Clearly indicated in the pie chart are the investigation results about the purposes of mobile phone reading of the students in a certain university. According to the given data, we can see that the number of studying ranks first at 59.5%. 17% of the students use mobile phones to read in order to get certain materials. What dominate the remaining part are entertainment and other factors, taking up 23.5% overall.
What may contribute to this remarkable phenomenon? I would like to elaborate on the following several reasons. To begin with, the most important factor we have to take into account is the students’ motivation to have a good command of professional knowledge and skills. In addition, the development of science and technology makes it possible for us to follow the above-mentioned phenomenon. What’s more, the information and materials on the internet are infinite and easily available, which has great attraction to most people.
Taking all these factors into consideration, I am firmly convinced that the above established phenomenon will continue in the foreseeable future. Therefore, it is necessary to take effective actions to help make good use of this new learning tool. Only in this way can we expect that mobile phone reading will play a positive and constructive role in enhancing our knowledge.
